Hang on in here Sue, please.
The Forum needs people like you who actually understand how local government works and, more to the point, its inbuilt limitations.
There's an awful lot of sanctimonious bollocks on here but that's the nature of the beast and it would be a great shame if your input was absent (see thread on 'our' Charlie!).
None of this will matter in a thousand years, or indeed next week!
BTW, anyone know if we've topped that plague ridden llama?

Not sure captain details of it seems to be a bit woolly.

Bob W Yes I love your inputs.Scandal in River?. Could be Vick playing his guitar at strange hours .Or a fight who gets the bin in first .I leave it out until later just to wind him up .Stressful times for a lot of people .

I'd be sorry to see you go because forums such as this are only kept alive by their contributors. But if you feel the need to flounce out then so be it. I don't think your posts cause problems. I just think you find it difficult to accept disagreements when the arguments go against you as they have clearly done recently.
Hope you come back soon. Somehow, I suspect you will!

I think Sue left the forum in #1 in a state,
But then returned in hurry in #7 and 8,
Sue comments on many subjects that matter,
She wears various hats but is not a mad hatter!
Your comments ref her return are a bit late,
As new views she has already begun to relate.

Please stay Sue.
We seem to be the only women who regularly post on here, (are the others afraid to voice an opinion) besides this forum needs our input to keep these men on their toes.

Sue
I hope you stay
The forum requires input from many different people and although like others we may at times disagree that is what a forum is about .
If we all agreed all the time the forum would become very shallow .
I have always been for as many people as possible to contribute , there are often contributors I don't share views with but they didn't run away .
Over the years we have seen many contributors come and go , but if we all have to just agree with all your or any other contributors comments it could soon see the downfall of this forum .
There are many contributors from your ex party that have been regular contributors and it is interesting to hear how different people view any particular post.
So I hope you stay
K

Whilst I am not leaving I have decided to comment a lot less than I normally would, I am far to old to put up with some on here who refuse to accept there is any other opinion but their own.
No wonder so many members no longer bother to join in commenting on here which is a shame this used to be a vibrant interesting group.
Polite debate no longer exists here but rudeness and pomposity is alive and kicking, possibly explaining why the quality of political candidates on both sides of the fence no longer encourage us to vote.

Jan I agree I don’t bother to comment as often sometimes the facts are ignored. No humorous debate .

Bad news, JH. Fewer fruits make a fruit cake less fruity.

Don’t reckon much of your culinary expertise WGS,
as Jans contributions are the icing on the cake.

I hope Sue and Jan continue to contribute ,
I do understand it can become frustrating .
But the debate with varied ideas is better than everyone just agreeing .
I do think we all have views and sometimes it becomes difficult to accept someone else's view
And that happens often where someone may have a string view point and when someone disagrees they may find it difficult to accept .
The forum is that much healthier with more People posting .I only post usually now once a day .
..keep posting .....

Keith as you can see I most certainly will continue but not so often especially on the political side, sadly as a middle of the road voter I can no longer put up some of the comments.
Although when driven by complete frustration I might just say 'what utter tosh' or similar until civilised debate returns.
