See #46 Howard.
The extraordinary thing is the pathetic excuse Eddy has come up with:-
"He used a particular word which has got a specific meaning for him in terms of when he was very young at university and where he met his wife."
Mr Eddy explained he met his wife while she was performing in an Agatha Christie play at university, which has since been renamed to 'and then there were none'.
The play he refers to is Ten Little Niggers by Agatha Christie - renamed And Then There Were Non.
The phrase 'nigger in the wood pile' does NOT appear in the play - or indeed the novel.
