The photos are Andy's so it would be up to him. There is a close up of a dead pigeon which I don't think I would want to see on here in case children saw it, it's quite sickening. The police are making enquiries today and once we have something back from them I will hopefully be able to tell you more. I just want to add that if anyone has any problems with pigeon culling or trapped pigeons regardless of where it is you can either give me a shout or see

As an aside, I've just been informed that the baby pigeons rescued from Maidstone are all doing well and the egg has also hatched. The baby had to be helped out of it and had to have some treatment but is now doing ok.

purely on the railway side(john may comment)
most of the shooting was done during the night (not that i'm in favour of it)
a light shone at them, then shot, but under full licence of the railway.

I was informed that initial investigations have shown that no official requests either from Southeast rail or any pest control company was logged with the police, which needs to be done if using fire arms. Investigations are still being carried out but it could be a few weeks.

the plot thickens here, i cannot understand why this was done when passengers were in situ.
i still remember a few years back when trees were chopped down near the station without any warning or reason given for it.
a lot of wildlife suddenly had to find a new home.

the railway some years ago had complaints when they allowed rabbits to be shot in fields whilst trains passed by
i saw one girl in tears on a train

Indeed - there is always going to be somewhat conflicting information at the start of an investigation like this though. The fact that passengers were still around is definitely cause for concern whether it was legal or illegal.

Here are a couple of photos that I took on my phone. One of the pigeon, the second one shows the two lads in orange, one with the rifle over his shoulder.
