Sex and Coffee are bad for you.

  A new report out this morning as seen on the BBC says that three of the worst bad habits we have could actually increase our risk of having a stroke..
  
  one is sex..oooh very bad
  the other is coffee ...ooh even worse
  and the third for some inexplicable reason is blowing your nose. Heavens!! mustnt do that.
  
  On behalf of Doverforum I have taken advice this morning from Dr Schultz of Vienna who assured me that all this is true
  But Dr Schultz went on to say
  
  and you have to do this in an Austrian accent.
  " Yes it is indeed true" said Schultz "in order to live a long life you must give up all three..alas alas the downside is you vill live a very long time and it will be very very boring, and the front of your shirt will get very messy"
  
  So there you have it!
  
  Okay I am being a bit skittish here but the report is genuine and the choice is yours. But then we get so many reports like this.

  But....but.....but....I was reading only recently about how coffee can reduce the risk of alzheimers and sex boosts your circulation (no surprises there...!!). Does this mean - wait, it can't be so......that we have to take a few risks in life and what doesn't kill us may make us stronger or at least make us smile?

  If we were to believe every single 'this is bad for you' report, we would either die of starvation or never get out of bed, sorry I bet there is a report that says being in bed is bad for you.
  
  I will continue to drink coffee and blow my nose, sex I gave up a few years ago .

  OK OK calm down m'dears - you need to read the whole thing, not just the attention seeking headline!!
  
  IF you have a cranial aneurism, and you wouldn't know if you had, anything that raises your blood pressure could in effect cause it to rupture and cause bleeding on the brain. Things that raise your blood pressure are things like sex, blowing your nose, drinking too much coffee (or anything with caffeine in it), going to the toilet (number2s ) getting angry etc etc. Lots of ifs buts and maybes there.
  
  I'm no medical expert but I intend to go on doing all these things, if my time is up then it's up - not going to be miserable for the rest of my life

  Fab! I do all 3 above and more. They say the closer you live life on the edge the more alive you feel. Pass me the Benson and hedges and a bottle of cotes du rhone please. I feel an OD on living coming on.
  
  I'll leave the daredevil parachute jumps and other death defying stunts to the nutters lol

  now let me see if i can get this right.
  1,sex.....chance would be a fine thing.
  2,coffee .....mines with milk and two sugers.
  3,blowing ones nose.....fine as long as its not exseve.

  Yes, a lot of things can be detrimental: drinking coffee, picking your nose, conversing in bed with your wife... in particular if one does it all at the same time...

  I'm drinking coffee right now. I'm on anti-biotics, having been bitten twice by a spider. That wasn't particularly healthy, with a red streak moving up my arm past the elbhow.
