Paul, a lot depends now on other people's mistakes.
Those elected in Parliament will be judged by their actions at the next election.

However, UKIP does have about a dozen seats in the European Parliament, which confers a great deal of experience to the party, which can rightly claim to know everything about how 27 countries have been and are being governed.

This enormous baggage of experience should count by now, combined with the mistakes that the MPs in Westminster might make.

Of-course, if the MPs do a good job in Parliament, then they will get back in again, and precisely that is what people are scrutinising: are they doing a good job?
