Secret tea drinkers
- 22 August 2010 21:0766773Why is it that when I sit down with a nice cuppa and get stuck into DoverForum the secret tea drinker attacks and empties my mug? Does anyone else suffer from this strange occurence, or is it just me? I'm going to make myself another now but I'm getting mighty tetchy about this.

My favourite teas are: Assam for that morning blitz of a full flavour and Orange Pekoe for the evening, a mild pleasantly flavoured tea. I don't mind a drop of Jasmine tea either.
I have tried many others but, Earl Grey etc., just don't it for me. - 22 August 2010 21:2166790No it is in Brighton so it said,but the pot is sliver and also the tea spoons, and that is the only place you can get that kind of tea bag.

I have the same problem with my mug of coffee, mine needs refilling now.
I never drink tea only coffee, water and various forms of alcohol.

- 22 August 2010 21:4366821That's right Bern, but the use of the Yorkshire name is meant to conjour up images of a wholesome British, indeed English product in the same way as the Hovis ads and trading on the traditions of that county. They don't say "have a nice cup of Yorkshire tea grown in India" as that would spoil the illusion.
I've never tasted it so cannot comment on how good or bad it is. But, the branding and marketing is unsurprisingly cynical. Why, for example, did they not call it Glamorgoan Tea, or Essex Tea"? The answer is obvious and consequently I won't buy the product. But, that is my choice too. If you enjoy it, drink it.
