My son on his recent visit said how good the sea front was looking now and also the town in general looked better.
Good positive feedback

Well lots of public down the front today most were asking for just one thing "Please can you tell me where are the toilets"?,they even stop the public using the Sea centre ones,The D,D,C, and the DHB are driving away the vistors from Dover ,is there not anyone out there that can get them open again.

Been nice knowing you :)
But to be honest, public toilets can make a real difference to a towns tourism! I avoid Wexford unless I know my friends/family are going to be in, for that reason. And I know it puts tourists off.

We must fight to get them open again,so as a forum please call .phone, email letters to the D.D.C.,DTC,DHB. telling them not asking but telling them GET THE TOILETS OPEN AGAIN AND DO IT NOW. If you want our votes in May.

Vic - the toilets on the seafront opposite the Premier Lodge are open, as are the toilets at the end of the PoW pier

Glad to hear that the toilets at the Premier Inn end are now open, they had been closed for quite a while.

Are you saying a old person can walk to the end of the P.O.W. to go to the Toilets or even right up the other end of the front over 1mile away ,and as I said last time i looked they were not open but i will be looking again within the hour, Ok if you are young and can walk Ross ,you are not thinking about the older ones of us who can not.

Vic - I was correcting your assertion that there were no toilets on the sea front
Roger - I am also pleased they are re-opened - I understand they were closed to remove asbestos ceiling panels and replace them with timber

I will put a note up in the window of our office telling the public where the Toilet is but again it is to far for the older ones to walk.
I only wish I had known this over the Easter weekend. But I should have gone along and looked for myself.

Vic
Please keep your ''Bog'' postings to one thread please. You are ''polluting'' all the other threads and in danger of becoming a bore.

Well he's already going to be elected an unopposed councillor in Lydden and we haven't got any public toilets or even pub toilets we can use and he hasn't promised to sort any out for us yet

I've got the impression that someone here is standing for more than just 7 seats

I drove along the sea front last night and it did look good. The 'wave' lights are very impressive as is the whole of that development and the refurbished hotel looks the part. Flower displays really would have enhanced the whole experience.
