    1951 vintage Paul. I was left back in the first team, but after being off for 3 weeks with yellow jaundus, Philip Dunford took over my position, and I became a reserve when I got back to school. With reference to Michael Howe, he sadly died in the early 80s from cancer. I think he was a purser on the cross channel ferries. He was only in his early 30s. His father, Ted Howe ran the railway club back in the early 60s. He worked on the ferry `Invicta` from what I remember.
