22:0678524I know there must be a fantastic forumite out there who could be Santa at Riverside's Xmas Eve party? Or failing that someone with a Santa outfit we could borrow?
Also on the hunt for magicians, entertainers and volunteer drivers (not forgetting small Xmas gifts and raffle prizes)
Any offers or ideas to give our Dover oldies a fab Xmas Eve bash?

22:1378526Regarding the Santa costume, if Riverside was to lias with the shop more often you would have the answer to your question and not have to ask on here.

08:0678548David H has a Santa outfit I thought - I'm sure he's done it before.
A vSanta outfit would look great with a chain around it - ask at the Town Council Kathy if he's available.

09:3578556Yep indeed David H does have a Santa outfit and here he is in fine fettle in Market Sq last year, it was raining cats and dogs at the time as I remember...this of course was before he rose to the breathtaking and dizzifying heights of Deputy Mayor...
He is surrounded as you can see by lots of very jolly characters...which makes a change from those long nights at the Town Council where jollity is somewhat hard to find !

10:0278559Alan, fab. I shall give you a ring. The Xmas Eve party is from 3pm until 6pm, is that going to be ok with you? Howard, I'm still debating on your sausage roll!

12:0778572I don't like to see'Xmas' either, but it has history, as 'X' was traditionally used as a short form for Christ, and in old parish records, back to when records began (16th century), Xian = Christian, Xpher = Christopher, and so on, so it has been used for hundreds of years in church records.

13:0978601I have been told there was an article in the Dover Express, that should bring in some help as well. I am sure the "oldies will have a great time and I wish you and them well with the project. I also hope you get all that help you need and more.

15:4978625Sue / Kathy, have got some small gifts which might be useful as prizes. If you would like I could drop them off, where is convenient?
