A word of warning for those who want to remove the laybys.
There is a history of closed laybys causing side streets to become the laybys.
Look at Channel View road.

There seems to be an increasing amount of rubbish on the dual carriageway Tilmanstone to Eastry, bags, paper, etc. where does it all come from?

far too much everywhere, i think the problem is people dumping sealed bags that then get ripped open and the wind does the rest.
a lot of bags were dumped up at the western heights, it took a few weeks before they were collected.
the result is that there are bits of litter all over the area from military hill down.

Slightly off topic but when I worked on the Ferries people used to empty their ash trays on to the car deck before driving off.

I came home off of nights recently on a very windy morning, paper that had been put out for recycling in the black boxes was strewn everywhere in several streets, it has to end up somewhere. I am sure the blue bag kept the paper more secure.

Paul re your posting about Channel View Road, why don't the parking wardens target the place for a month issuing tickets and moving vehicles on, most have the drivers with them, the word would get round that parking there is illegal.

It's not illegal to park on Channel View Road, just that the mess they leave is disgusting...
Been nice knowing you :)
