I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Aycliffe will look a lot better without those ugly bins, I am lucky to be the only one in my road that uses purple bags which are in my shed until collection day. Rather bemused by the comment from DDC about seagull proof bags as when I suggested using them in the past they said there was no point as the birds only open those with food in - we must have psychic gulls.

Ugly bins versus rubbish everywhere I know which I would choose.

I cover mine with a sheet and have no problems. Even with bins many get overloaded and spill out, Folkestone Road is just one example. Don't forget that the new bags that are the ones used in Thanet and they report no problems.

Hopefully the newly elected town Cllrs can encourage those in their ward to keep the communal areas clean and that rubbish is disposed of responsibly. On the negative side of it, rumours have it that Cllr Wanstall took it upon himself to inspect the bin contents of other residents at the flats where he lives. Slightly overly eager , in my humble opinion, as surely that could be considered as an invasion of privacy. Cllr Peter Wallace appeared to work hard for his ward but no further reports have been made public on that good work recently.

Rubbish indeed! Collections are the life-blood of my profession. My child, they may be rubbish to you, but, to me, they are tips.

Tips as in where rubbish is heaped up, as in a hint or as in the sharp end of an object. Then there is a monetary reward....-show me your appreciation and do make sure your tip is not a noisy one...

His Grace is known to neck the communion wine before Evensong then pocketing the offertory in order to spend it on painted Jezebels as described in the Book of Kings.

I am chastened and bowed. I shall count the rosaries for the remainder of the evening.

Can't believe we got a letter, telling us to expect a letter

.
Why not just send out the one letter? What a waste of time, money and paper.

Same here, as the Duke said what a waste of money but sadly that is not exactly a surprise.

Just so we all know what is happening LOL, I have just had an email that is virtually the same as that silly waste of money letter.
