    But Keith - what do you know about the RBS arrangements? That is the point. If you were a Union negotiator what would you be saying to people wanting to stop your staff getting the bonuses agreed and for which they worked and qualified?

    Also what has the 'climate' got to do with it? Should I have not paid my administrator his bonus because times are tough? In fact I would suggest that in this current climate and for a company that is working hard to get back to profitability it is essential to get staff on-side and to reward performance based on their agreed targets.
