I too hope that it does not earn the name, "The One That Got Away!"

As it is due to get a bit windy, quite possible that it will be overlooking Norway by Monday.

I mentioned this on another topic I figured Ed you'd be the first to see it as you are always out at sea. Thought maybe relocated Invicta statue but no it's just some ugly tat! What an awful first sight for tourists!

Has Roy Hodgson got a connection with Dover area for us to be inflicted with such an eyesore. Following on from Neil's post we can but hope and as Howard says decidedly tacky.
I can see why it did not go up when the beacons were being lit someone might have got torch happy.

We should send in the heavy mob and tear it down. We can't have our cliffs being desecrated like this.
Where are DDC's planning storm troopers?

i don't think it needs planning permission as it is only a temporary structure thankfully.
very surprised that the landowner allowed it though.
is it national trust land?

Well let's hope it will be taken down when we get knocked out..soon. As for now I hope it does not become a shipping hazard when it blows off in tomorrows winds!
