Some will remember mun as ex mayor of Dover
Others as the hard working councillor
But most will remember her as the friendly face
But I will remember her as my mum and friend

Sorry to hear that Keith. I liked Margaret, many years ago she chaired a meeting at my house to discuss a problem neighbour, she was very helpful. I think that at the time our local councillor wasn't interested.

So sorry Keith, this is horrible for you but it sounds as if you must have plenty of happy memories.

My sincere condolences Keith - you don't know me directly but you may remember me all those years ago as a 6th former at DGSB.Your Mum and mine have been both at the same care home so I can particularly relate to you and how you must be feeling. These have been such really challenging times for us all to have to live through and cope with but we must despite it all try to be of good cheer as best we can.I send heartfelt good wishes and sympathy to you and the family.

Sorry for your loss Keith. Mum was an excellent community representative & used common sense in her efforts to make the case for her causes. She was also a very nice lady & demonstrated her public spiritedness with dignity in her term as Mayor. RIP Margaret.

Thank you again to you all
Yes I have lots of lovely memories
Including the day labour put her up as a candidate in rock solid conservative castle ward at the time.
She was told she had no chance of winning as conservatives held the seat by the hundreds
The shock on her face when she won !!
In most unusual chat she wanted a recount. Lol
But she went about representing everyone , always fighting for those in the ward .
