Well dodged Tom, you're replaced Keith as forum fence sitter. Its clear you can't justify the licence fee, nobody can.
Your quest for the truth is interesting too, do you mean the bombing of Dresden, WMDs in Iraq, what caused the financial crisis? In other words, what role does the BBC or any broadcaster play in establishing your beloved truth.
Its clear that what you want is a state funded version of your own left leaning version of events.

There is nothing to dodge David, you take the long run-up, you grunt as you swing, but you bowl air into air.
By all means, walk around in your Sandwich-Board and I will, benapkinned, sit down and dine at mine.

Its confirmed I'm afraid, Tom has stolen Keith's yellow jersey, albeit in a more verbose and pseudo manner.
I'm sure Keith will fight to regain his hard earned title before long but for now Tom's arse has more splinters than Keith's

Yes indeed, isn't so very so...earwax, a blight upon maturity. This must be why some people hear 'Divide and drool'.
"Verbose and pseudo"? Nay, nay. I merely supply a need, I am the very Viagra of Vehemence.

Arguments and trouble can be easily avoided by giving a straightforward answer to a straightforward question rather than avoiding it and going off on a load of waffle.
I agree with previous comments from Howard and Peter and have never thought the BBC had any particular leanings either way except maybe when it come to being very 'politically correct'.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Is this a/the straightforward question?
#13-"why should I pay for something I don't want or need? "
Anybody wish to take it as such and supply a straightforward answer?
