Saw two of them from Langdon Cliff`s this morning. As bad as those pesky butterflies up there, too quick for a pic.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

What is wrong with the Vulcan I wonder?
I would like to see the Vulcan fly again. Memories of the '60s when they flew near to us, from Scampton airfield on outskirts of Lincoln. If you were driving on the road around Scampton airfield when one took off - oh boy - they didn't half rattle and vibrate your car. And the noise....
I knew one of the pilot officers who flew on the Vulcans, being the radio officer he sat 'at the back' and could see nothing. The men who flew in them didn't like them, and treated them with contempt, they never knew whether the '3 minute scrambles' were for real or practise. Used to fly over Labrador and the Brecon Beacons (terrain similar to parts of Russia?) in their manoeuvres. They flew low to avoid radar. Giants of the skies.

Wow. A sudden mighty roar and a solitary red arrow just hurtled over Victoria Park, across the town, and skimmed across the Western Heights in the drizzle. Cats have not come back out from under the table yet.

Great action picture`s above, but I`m afraid too quick for me. I`m limited to thing`s like plant`s that keep still while I image them.
