It is Mayor making on 16th at the Town Hall.
Do you have a speaking or ceremonial role Kieth?

Simon
I always find that term amusing *mayor making*
It gives you a vision of someone with clay going to make a model of a mayor lol
on the day I have no speaking, or any other role,
Im just a pleb attending to watch part of the event giving support to a volunteer who is one of the agenda items
my names of the 25 years in the limelight have long gone
Although my voluntary work continues

Given the fact that anyone who is anyone will be at the town hall it might be an idea to choose another date Jen!
Incidentally mayor making was moved, it was to have been the 23rd.

I am surprised you are going David, I thought you were against all these waste of money type events or are you hoping to get your picture in the local rag standing next to someone in fancy regalia.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

no doubt david will sport a hair shirt if he does decide to attend in truly puritan tradition.

It's too late to cancel the meeting. It's taken a while to get a slot at the CAWCA Hall as it is so busy. Also we need a neutral place as our PCSO Ryan is not allowed on duty in a pub. We used to hold our meetings at The Malvern. Hopefully in the future we can have the CAWCA Hall more often!
I think we are all guinea pigs in the middle of an experiment for which they have forgotten to set up a control group!

Thats a fair point Jan, I'm open to accusations of hypocrisy. I was at a function on saturday where a certain district councillor performed her very best "don't you know who I am?" act, much to the disdain of those around her.
In my defence, having been invited it would be rude to decline, and to clarify, I'm not against ceremony and tradition, I'm also not against councillors full stop, its just that there are too many of them and instead of doing whats right for the town they spend their time bickering and scoring political points.
Of course the other deciding factor is there's a buffet, and I'm a freeloader par excellence.
