    I got a leaflet from DHB through the door yesterday and read the following which is interesting................

    "What about Dover's Heritage?
    We are as keen to look after Dover's heritage as you are. When we close the Prince of Wales Pier heritage items will be removed , restored and reused. And what's more, the future pier and adjacent marina will provide more than 1,000 metres of promenade and leisure area - that's 200 metres more than you get now!".............

    The relevant part for me is there is no mention of pier access only more promenade which seems a clever fudging of what is actually planned, no or only a little access to the pier.
