    YOU keep saying about the majority of Dover people ,what you mean is the majority that post on this forum and that is about 15 members of the public you or I do not know what the majority of the Dover public are thinking.as for rust once the sea water gets into in after some years there is nothing that can stop it and repairs etc can cost more then a new build in the long run.When they have done the work and the pier reopens the public will see more of the port then now ,where the public walk way will be, is turning off to the left and you will be walking along a new pier over looking more of the new mariner on one side and on the other side you will see the ships coming in and out with much better views and closer up.IT IS ONLY CLOSED NOW TO DO THE WORK NEEDED.
