Worryingly I have to agree with Barry.
The reality is that it is the "have nots" and the "have a littles" that will be most hurt and disadvantaged by the spending cuts; these will bite deepest in benefits, local authorities, the NHS etc. exactly the areas that the "well off" have the money to provide for themselves in.
Surely it would be fairer to find a way to raise more tax (rather than pander to prejudices) and therefore reduce the level of cuts?
