Really enjoyed the Regatta. It was a very pleasant event in gorgeous sunshine and brought the whole town together. Saw many familiar faces I hadnt seen for a while. There was loads of singing and delightful bands and stalls to match every interest ..all manned by volunteers. Great fun for the kids too with the sailing and the climbing etc.
I have put a piece on the old frontpage blog about it with some pictures
http://www.doverforum.com
and here are a few more....
and the brass band played didley omm dom dom
lots of pretty girls and in full voice too " Hey Jude, dont bring me down "
here are a couple of jolly jolly chaps with Barbara Buzcek of DHB. I hope I spelt that name right.
Another picture of these guys on the old frontpage too.
Jolly boating weather...
and another shot of the milling throng below..similar to the one on the old frontpage..busy busy..
Re Post 10..yes indeed it was of interest to me. Had a word with the chap that owned it. Quite a hell raising vehicle..a sort of cross between a dune buggy and a quad bike. it only cost the chap £4000...much less than my current piece of machinery. Jealous! lol
