  Jan/ Howard I think there seems to be a new fashion for easy violence. You will remember it became the thing several years ago to beat someone up while filming all of it on the new fangled mobile phones. It was like a modern day by-product of the mobile phone culture. Strangers were attacked for the sake of the filming it thrill. It looks like it has continued on from there, but without bothering with the filming. The victims seem to be just isolated people walking home alone and are set upon for no apparent reason. This seems to be what's happening.
  
  In some cases though as we see on the f/p it can just be old fashioned robbery. The message must be if you have any cash dont flaunt it.
  
  Fortunately the Police are very good at getting their message out now, and in the recent crimes here in Dover have had successes on account of it. So it must always be best to help the Police if anything is known as it makes it safer for all of us all round.
  
  The legal system seems to be giving heavier sentences now too.
