With less than 24 hours to go I am delighted to report that we are £61.50 in profit before we have even started!!!
All the races are sponsored by the following;
Race 1 is sponsored by local stroke survivor Ted Smith, who was supported by the Stroke Association and wanted to give something back.
Race 2 Absolute Graphix who have also done all the printing for the event
Race 3 Sally Reeve of Cambridge Weight Plan Centre who has also donated two raffle prizes
Race 4 Tim Sutton Sports Massage who has also donated a voucher for the raffle
Race 5 Modern Gent who have also donated vouchers for the raffle and as prizes for the owners of the winning horse and jockey of this race.
Race 6 Bladez Hair Salon
Race 7 is sponsored by Sarah and John in memory of John's comrade Phil Currass QGM who was killed in the Falklands conflict. Sarah used to work in the community supporting people with memory loss/dementia after stroke and so wanted to support the event by sponsoring a race.
Race 8, the final race of the evening is sponsored by The Right Worshipful the Town Mayor of Dover, Cllr Ronnie Philpott
There are also many other supporters in terms of encouragement, publicity and donation of raffle prizes including this forum and its members. I must make special mention of Divitos Fish and Chip Shop who have given such a good deal on the fish and chips.
We have sold an excellent number of tickets so it is going to be a really fun night with a great atmosphere, and we will raise lots of money. There are still few more up for grabs if you are stuck for something to do and want to get out have some fun and win some prizes while raising money for a great cause !!!
