07:0973051Quite correct Keith, I DON'T.
your constant bickering pushes all the other interesting threads away.

07:1873052IAN;
There are many posts that you and others make which bore me
so I don't read them/
Its all a choice thing.
As I'v said in other posts, the forum was dominated by one party, thus making it look like the forum leaned in that direction which is not the case.
So have tried, as posters asked to even up these postings.
Politics, as much as people may not have an interest, and I fully understand that, does effect our every day life

07:4573053I find the most annoying thing is when politics get introduced into a non political thread.

. Plus all the different threads that are about the same sort of thing.
I agree with you Ian about the bickering, just like children at times aren't they, each wanting to have the last word.
BTW Keith when I started to read the forum I did not notice any political bias on this board so there was no need to "even up these postings".

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Thank you for your contribution, just to convey postings some years ago, this forum had posters who suggested that the forum had a political bias by one political party dominating the forum, with this came the call from Paulb and others for other political party interestred persons to contribute.
Which is what has happened.
I have privately E Mailed Paulb on this

08:0473055This is an awkward one. As somebody of no fixed political persuasion i do like to hear both sides but at the same time i dont like it rammed down my throat. As Keith says we do have the choice not to read things if we dont want to!!

Your correct it is a difficult one,I hope this forum will continue to appreciate the wide ranging debate and subjects within it.
I give my side, sometimes in reply to a political post.
I don't try to influence, and people can agree or disagree as they wish.
Being on the end of personal slurs is something maybe the forum needs to look at.
Howard and paulb have a very difficult job, on the one hand trying to encourage people to post, on the other trying to stop people upsetting others, and keep a happy ship.
its not an easy task

it is sometimes difficult to differentiate between a slur and a bit of banter.

10:2773085Keef, why have you suddenly started signing yourself Ed Miliband? Is there something we should know? Oh, and you have spelled it wrong!

10:5873088Peter,
I believe that Keef is trying to show that 'ED Milliband (sic)' is a man of the people, a bit like 'Call me Dave'.
In real life Edward Samuel Miliband is an Oxford Educated toff whose partner is a Cambridge educated barrister which IMHO is good.
Whoever wins the next election at least we will not be governed by 'oiks'.

16:4573138#4 Keith, it`s a great shame that some thread`s bore you on here mate. especially as it`s an open forum. I read all posting`s if I can, and find it interesting with opposing view`s even if I don`t comment on them due to the fact that they may not interest me or I`m out of my depth on them. I take no offence at anyone finding many of my thread`s boring, as you say, not to everyone`s taste. I comment peacefully on a religious thread regarding life on other world`s, (don`t really like the word alien, too hollywoody), yet a member refuse`s to comment if any such thread appeared. Again, it`s a forum where any topic should be discussed, without ramming it down people`s throat`s.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

22:2973203I have to agree with Ian to an extent, whilst I am politically aware and interested and more than prepared to post my comments and views, the constant bickering and point scoring from 2 posters in particular has become so tedious that there are certain threads I have just given up on entirely.
Where I disagree is that we do not need to create a separate politics page.
