Validated means it is a valid application, not that it has been agreed..

Does that mean at last we are seeing some light at what seems to have been an extremely long dark tunnel, I certainly hope so.

they can start knocking down buildings they don't want before any planning application is passed, as for the long list of services being provided it would mean about half hour a week to each if correct.

It has yet to come to the Planning Committee; no guarantee it will be passed, but I'm sure that all efforts will be made to ensure it is acceptable.

The Town Council are one of the Consultees on applications within their area. They offer input, but it is the District Council Planning Committee that makes the decision - based on views from interested parties and input from the officers and statutory consultees like Kent Highways.

Connaught Barracks would have been a better site for the hospital ,
Samphire Hoe would have been a good site for a prison ,

Prefer Goodwin Sands for the prison.

Connaught Barracks may have been a better option but EK Hospitals would not have paid the MOD the site price.
In the end £20m appears to have been the limit they would have paid. That's why we are still on the Buckland site.
Whitfield had preliminary work on sites undertaken but again was excluded because of site buy in & infrastructure costs.

No Vic, why should we move on, we are fully entitled to speculate on what will happen to Buckland Hospital and various sites if we want to,
Although it will not happen Connaught and Whitfield would have been better sites than along the busy and very narrow Coombe Valley Road.
