  Let me tell you how planning has worked..........
  
  
  A planning application came in
  To change a drug den into a residential home, the chief officer put in his report to Decline the application .
  He also stated it would never go through all time he was in post.
  (Not his decision)
  I spoke at the meeting and got the cllrs to agree to meet at the site so that locals and others can form a view, more importantly the councillors can see the area for themselves .
  
  At the site I used exactly the same arguments as to why it should be approved, at the end of all the di s discussion the chairman of planning asked the chief officer how he could approve it .
  
  The officer then told him how.
  
  This to some would be nothing short of corruption .
  
  But the application went through !!!!!
