  In the Western Heights ditch where the Avo roundabout now is, we a some large tanks still full of a diesel/kerosene mix uncovered when the A20 was built through there !!
  
  Pipes led from town across Shakespeare Beach and into the sea for setting the sea on fire and I think sections of it could still be found
