Pitman Training sponsor Saskia in Miss European
- 7 October 2011 13:57130105Paula Elliott of Pitman Training has come to the rescue at the eleventh hour and confirmed that they would sponsor daughter Saskia in the Miss European competition which is being held at The Burstin Hotel Folkestone on the weekend of 22/23 October.
Pitman Training is a very successful local company based at Market Square in Dover offering a range of user friendly courses from IT skills to pa/secretarial and bookkeeping. They are a long term advertiser here on Doverforum, so local company sponsors local girl
The rest of the European girls will be checking into The Burstin Hotel from 17th Oct for rehearsals leading up to the weekend of the competition. They will be coming from France, Belgium, the Netherlands etc so it will certainly be a very busy time for the Hotel.
Many many thanks to Pitman Training for stepping in to help Saskia take her place to compete

- 18 October 2011 11:14132002Pitman Training is proud to sponsor Saskia in the Miss European competition. I will be visiting Saskia on Friday morning during reheasals at the Burstin Hotel. This is the first time that we have sponsored an person in such an event and we are looking forward to seeing some photographs from the rehersals and final. These kind of activities outside of work or training are vital and provide individuals with the confidence that is required for the working is such a tough society that we our in this and the forthcoming years. I wish Saskia great success in the competition and am on hand for emotional support and encouragement.

Richard Armour - 18 October 2011 14:06132030Just got back from dropping Saskia off at the Grand Burstin Hotel in Folkestone, where she met the rest of the girls who had just flown over from various countries, she was proudly wearing her Team Ireland sash showing her sponsor, Pitman Training logo. There was a lot of Mwahing and gushing as girls do, they have a very busy and enjoyable week ahead of them. Being a Dover Princess and a Kent Princess, Saskia is a dab hand at Mwahing She thoroughly enjoys these events but this will be her last one as she now has to concentrate on her studies.
They were awaiting the Portuguese team with their TV crew and some more teams yet to arrive throughout the day. I wish them all the best for the competition as they have so many rehearsals and dance routines to put together as well as local tours to fit in.
I look forward to meeting up with Paula from Pitman Training on Friday and see how Saskia and all the girls are getting on, all the best girls, break a leg! Would have taken a photo but they might have thought it a bit odd if an old geezer in a boiler suit started taking snaps of them, probably get a lot of that! They had a bridge visit which was much enjoyed by our navigators.
