good question alec and a belated answer from me.
a lot depends on the weather of course but the promotion of these concerts is dire.
what happens is that when the bands warm up it is only friends and family present then when music rings out people stop to listen regardless of their age or musical taste.
i took these about half two on my way up to colette's event at connaught park.

Plenty of singers at the Pencester Pavilion again tomorrow afternoon from 1400 until 1600 as the Who's Got Talent Kent finalists showcase their talents both this week and next.

inclement weather caused it to be cancelled which was a great pity as 2 of neil's daughters were going to sing.
as a diversion a young lady who had pitched 2 tents nearby took serious umbrage at me taking this photo.

It was a real shame that the weather was inclement yesterday....still I had the joy of listening to the girls rehearsing all week, I love it when the house is full of music. There will, weather permitting, be another chance for them to sing at the Pavilion this coming Sunday afternoon.
The young lady with her tents was quite a diversion, very trusting of her to leave them unattended in Pencester Gardens and then quite surprising when she returned and was quite so confrontational. Especially as it was the police who had taken a peak whilst she was absent.

what struck me as most strange of all that she took some very expensive looking luggage down to the national express coach stop then left it unattended while she went back to the tent.

what a treat that was on a gloomy sunday afternoon with free entertainment provided by some of the finalists from the "kent's got talent" competition. from what i have seen and heard in recent years a lot of it stems from much maligned dover.

someone always has to be the best and today it was morena wiggins, youngest of neil and lorna's clan.
she has the most spellbinding voice and chose two of the more difficult songs to put across and done it with great aplomb.

Thanks Howard. It is a joy at home to hear them all rehearsing and just making music amongst themselves and with the guitar and piano. I also enjoy playing our silver instruments together as a quartet, but they can't sing at the same time.

of course neil, the shine was taken off things a bit when this ruffian turned up and tried to tie morena into an exclusive agency deal where he gets 90% commission.
thankfully she has seen that type before and politely declined then rejoined her family.
