  The latest RAC figures on local authority income from parking charges and fines:

  DDC come 160th out of 353 local authorities with a surplus of £1,084,000 which, to me, seems pretty low.
  
  Pleased that I've contributed through my RPZ permit, but displeased that the figure isn't higher owing to DDC's failure to fine the dozens of spongers ('aspirational' White Audi or BMW owners, 'personalised' number plate fetishists, or serial bankrupt George Cross-waving, UKIP-supporting 'small businessmen' - all those 'self-made' people for whom everyone else has a welfare mentality) who expect me to subsidise their free (illegal) parking.
