    To quote from the paper:-
"After his licence period ended last month he was apparently allowed to choose where to live and his application for housing was accepted by Dover District Council".

Were DDC aware of his background? What pull does the Probation Office have over councils? Were DDC forced to take him, and where does that leave young couples desperate but unable to get on the housing list?

    It just isn't equitable.

I am at one with Diana and realise that my comments smack of nimbyism. Equally I can only quote from Mel Smith on Not The Nine O'Clock News - "Off with their goolies"
