They must be desperate for candidates if that is the best they can come up with.

Regarding being unshaven, I wonder where the line is drawn between being trendy and scruffy?

if the voters go for sartorial elegance then paul is out on a limb, with gordon and nigel always suited and booted. however if entertainment value is an important factor then paul will come out on top.

A real own goal by UKIP, if they had put a half decent candidate up they would have been in with a shout.

that may be true martin but having a nationally known and respected celebrity in the race will ignite interest that is not normally the case for county council elections.

mr mcmucky starred on newsnight when it looked like steve coogan was about to step across and land one on him, upset hugh grant by stalking him mercilessly and recieved a nomination for best cameo performance for his appearance at the leveson enquiry.

who can forget the tables and chairs put out on the pavement in winter for customers and the manager attacking his staff with lumps of raw meat before trying to burn the place down?

Mr McMullen comes across as a lovely man prepared to give up his time and money to fight for his mum's right to re-use jam jars. There aren't that many of us who could say that we would go to such lengths for our mums. However, I am happy to be able to save Mr McMullen's money and time by reporting that 50% of his reason for standing is based on myth
http://tabloid-watch.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/ec-labels-ban-on-re-using-jam-jars.html
Having saved that time and money he can now concentrate on helping his mum re-use her jam jars and developing a slice of British culture in his historic inn.
We need more people like this!!!
