Well I will state that it wasn't my intention to post a harsh worded message, it wasn't pre-meditated. Personally I take great care not to offend other peoples' belief in God the Creator. I will note that I had also not intended bringing up the subject of persecution of Christians by order of this or that pope in history, as the Catholic church does not teach or uphold persecution for a long time, and I didn't want to harangue Catholics with what is known from history, but the coments equiperating Christianity to persecution and killing left me no choice, as someone had to defend the Christian Faith there. I mean, such coments cannot go unchallenged, as Christianity does not teach killing people.
I thought, that it might be fair if posts were not made which are not thought-over carefully when writing about religion, as gross statements can easily be historicaly wrong, as well as mightily offensive.
As for the later statements, posts 777-779, I thought there had been a kind of gentlemens' agreement betwen Colin, myself, Chris and Rick that if a thread on aliens goes up, I won't join in, and I took it that if a thread on Christianity came up from my part, may-be Chris and Rick would have held a respectful distance. That was all.
I was enjoying the conversation going on with Colin, and wanted to point out, regarding dynosaurs, and the millions of years of Earth's history, that in the Bible, although the Creation is numbered in six days, it also states that for God, one year can be like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one year.
Hence, a thousand years can be each a thousand years, making one million, and still be like a year, and a day!
