I agree that the two don't always work well together (19th. Century houses and 21st. living).
In the 21st.C, we have offspring staying at home for much longer than they used to in the latter part of the 20th.C which will and does, add to the (parkling) problem.
Howard, I understand that sometimes, the bus can't get up there because of cars parked too close to the corners and most if not all of those corners already have double yellow lines.
Sometimes I get complaints about cars parked on corners, then I escalate it up to DDC and KCC and it goes through the Joint Transportation Board (which I sit on)and is either approved or not (usually they are). Sometimes people go direct.
If it is the illegal parking that's causing the problem, then it is a matter of enforcement and the parking services van needs to make more frequent visits.
