Double yellow lines are quite prevalent up there Brian; it has been confimed to me that enforcement doesn't only happen on a Sunday morning and to prove that point, I was walking the Clarendon's the other day - during the day and I saw a Parkibg Services van driving round the area.

I do agree with Keith that we cannot force a one-way system on the residents; there isn't the statistics to prove a high accident record around the streets to justify it. It my be wanted by a vocal few, but with a lot of transient people in the area, what is supported at one time, may well be rejected at another.

Traffic speed on one-way streets is shown to be higher and could be more dangerous than it is now.
