The post you are reporting:
I can't find the original thread, but it was brought up on here about the old (proposed) one-way system for the Clarendons and I think it was Ken who asked about the double yellow-lines outside the Boars Head in Eaton Road.
I have a reply from Kent Highways, here it is:
"Dear Cllr Walkden,
Thank you for your enquiries regarding a one-way system in Clarendon Road, and yellow lines in Eaton Road, that were passed to KCC.
The one-way system in Clarendon Road/Clarendon Street/Clarendon Place was investigated a little while ago, but due to funding constraints, was not progressed.
Funding for traffic schemes is now being targeted to those areas with safety issues, so unless a scheme looks likely to tackle a problem where there have been recent personal injury crashes, it is unlikely that it would be funded.
The yellow lines outside the Boars Head pub were only installed in the last year or so, following concerns raised about parked cars obscuring the sight lines for those pulling out from the unmade part of Kitchener Road. Notices were placed on site advising of the proposal, and the proposal was approved by the Dover Joint Transportation Board on 22 September last year, with the the lines installed shortly afterwards. I am afraid we will not be considering the removal of these yellow lines at the current time.
