The only question we have to ask is how many we fancy taking. The greater majority will have a 'well founded fear of persecution' and be eligible for asylum as per 1951 Convention and later Protocols.

Do we just take the chancers who have made it as far as a local beach or Heathrow Arrivals or do we give them safe routes i.e. 'alternative ways to apply from abroad' and really take the lid off the jam jar to the more 'deserving'?
