 - i had this problem about a year or so back phoned 02 on my landline and they said that there were no problems in my area and told me to turn my phone off for a few minutes then turn it back on again.

 worked perfectly after that.

 - The world of Facebook has informed me that many locals have had no service all afternoon, one visited an O2 shop and they told her random phones have gone down. My partners phone working fine...mine however...

 - O2 admiitted about a month ago that they had problems in the CT16 and CT17 postcode areas.

What used to be the best network is, locally, no longer. A mast nearby must be out of order.

 - I have had slow texts all afternoon but that's all. - Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

 - I am on o2 and funnily enough my phone was absolutely fine yesterday but this morning the signal bar is all over the place - one minute I have full signal, then nothing, then signal again, then nothing again. In fact it's nothing most of the time. I have been very happy with o2 for many years so I hope it is just a blip in their service record and I hope to continue with them. Depends how long it goes on for though, and what recompense they will give customers. I have a contract which today is worthless if I am unable to use it.

 - O2 Network Update -
The latest update from O2 is:

 -
"We can confirm that our 2G network service has now been restored. Customers who were affected should now be able to make and receive calls. Our 3G service is starting to restore and customers should expect to see a gradual return of data services as the day progresses. Customers affected may wish to try switching their mobile phones off and on as service returns. We are sorry again for the inconvenience this has caused some customers and can provide reassurance that we continue to deploy all possible resources, and will do so until full service is restored."
