While playing on the computer I have had the BAFTA awards on in the background.
I admit I am not a film buff but most of those giving and accepting the awards I have never heard of but I had heard of most of those that died in the last year.

There's hope for you yet Jan. I've just read the movie, The Artist, has won seven awards...and it's a silent film.

Nightcaps?
I wasn't convinced it was something they said.

It's when your old heart-throbs start dying of old age that it really bites.......I was floored when Paul Newman went.

It's when they publish the names of "celebs" taking part in such shows as Strictly or I'm a Celebrity or Dancing on Ice and I find I have never heard of any of them. And Adele has won 6 Grammy awards - who she????

We went to see Bellowhead at The Marlowe last night, given that they are the 'young turks' of folk music we thought we would be out of place in the audience.
Nooo, it was like a Saga outing!

If I am ever asked to name a footballer then it is Bobby Charlton - then I am at a loss to name another.... though some bloke called Beckenham rings a bell.

I always knew how to drive my husband out of the room (sometimes the house) and that was to play my ancient scratched Cliff Richard record from the early 60s.
Maybe I am not that ancient even I had heard of Adele possibly because she is a singer rather than a near naked bimbo who screeches.
