20:0068506I have not done alot of postings over the last two weeks, but I am not boycotting the forum.
I have always said that if you put yourself in the firing line you will get shot at, and I have put myself in that line alot over the years but never before have they hit the target but the last time they did and must say it was some what out of order.
Anyway I will be 68years old on Sunday and feel that anything I say about the town or the port will not be done in my life so no point in keeping on about it.
Just afew things to say before i end this post.
(1) I am not for selling the port off to anyone and it should stay as it is anywork that needs to be done can go ahead with the ports own fundingbut might take longer but whats the rush.
(2) About the town and District I do think the blues at this time is the best party for the very big job at hand ,Mr Watkins is the right leader of that group, but I feel he must get rid of some behind him and also the old school tie is not working, first thing is a very close look at how the planning dept works ,that needs very big change,s for the good of Dover as I said he must get rid of the old school tie and bring in change.
Well that is about it,i have alot of family who live all around the UK and before I get to old to drive we are off at times to see them all ,and also I love my garden and I am spending more time in it.
It does look at this time that I will be spending time again going or in the Hospital over my legs, but as we see on our own TV each day about our young men and women coming back from war without arms and legs what is wrong with me is nothing.
I will post from time to time but I have droped out of doing anything or going to meetings.

20:5168512Vic...
Enjoy the visits to the family while you can still drive.
You are a few months older than I am and we never know what is round the corner................... you could win the lottery

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

22:5468533Have a very enjoyable birthday on Sunday Vic, I will raise a glass to you in the evening. Glad to hear you are reining back a bit to enjoy some quality time with your wife and family members. A wise decision.
But, whatever you, do not desert your chums (even though we sometimes have a go) on DoverForum. We all love you really (it's only Keith trying to feed you unhealthy food at the footie you've got to watch out for

).
Good luck getting the legs sorted.

00:1168551Vic, it was good to meet up with you at the festival on Monday, and shake your hand, not once but twice and I am sorry I could not spend more time to have a chat. Happy Birthday for Sunday. Have fun and lets have a chat some time soon.

00:3468552Happy Birthday for Sunday Vic, hope you have a good day - the weatherman says it will be sunny!
Vic please don't be upset over what I said - it honestly wasn't meant malisciously as I know you care about people. Enjoy your extra time with your family and make time for them now. If you want to email me my address is
rainflowers@hotmail.co.uk but this is between you and I, no-one else. Take care x
