http://news.sky.com/story/1024825/health-warning-as-norovirus-hits-750000
The past three days I have been quite sick, and I don't generally get sick. A lot of my colleagues have gone down with the same symptoms and I know many locals who have as well. It had not crossed my mind that it could be the 'winter vomiting bug' as it is well known.
Just to warn you all to take care As it may be circling Dover at the moment.
Still...at least I'm at home. I could not think of anything worse than being on a cruise ship with it!

Don't attend the doctor's surgery and wash the curtains...if necessary....

It appears to be something that simply must be endured, but there are a few simple precautions that can be taken to prevent/lessen the spread of the virus.
Get well soon Helen, and anybody else confined at the moment.

i am sure that our susan said she went down with it recently. sadly some will go to the doctor's and help spread it around instead of staying at home and resting up.

Key advice is to carry a pack of medical sterile wipes at all times and use them to clean your hands after touching anyone or anything. Lack of hand hygiene is the key means of transmission.

How awful Helen, I hope you get better real soon. It seems to be everywhere at the moment. I will be ducking and diving to try to avoid it at all costs, just recovered fully now from a very obnoxious flu.

my doctor's surgery has a hand cleaner just inside the door with a clear notice telling us why we should make use of it, i think i am the only one that uses it.
the same people who refuse to use it would probably complain about not getting an appointment because their g.p is off sick with the novovirus or something similar.

Howard we to have those hand cleaners at work, always advisable to use them when you work with alot of people, in a place like Megger things go round like wild fire.
So yes NOT nice to be struck down with it.

End of day three. Starting to feel human again. Not nice, this is something I can thoroughly recommend - to be avoided!
