Non Travelling Traveller's
- 13 September 2012 18:52191331I heard it on the grapevine yesterday that at least a dozen traveller's have illegally set up camp in at least one of the car parks just beyond the National Trust Restaurant up on our beautiful White Cliffs.
They seem to be amassing an interesting array of rubbish already, the only way they could have got in to my knowledge was the use of a pair of bolt cutters at night as I couldn't imagine them being allowed on site.
What a lovely sight for tourists while they take in the view from the cliffs towards the french coast with their 'tiffin'.
Let us hope they are moved on in double quick time

- 13 September 2012 22:19191386That is a worry, especially if the area is being spoilt with rubbish. I thought the coach car park gate was locked at night though, just the first entrance gate open.
I did notice as you leave the gates and head back along the road to the castle it would appear someone has fly tipped there. Saw a nice dirty nappy thrown in a bush near the Belariot Memorial while walking mutt today....which was nice!!
