not mine tom, i believe the council chairman said that.
translates also as meaning that she will make every day of nigel's life a stressful one.
Totally agree with this , i have stepped back a lot from here lately as being a younger member i regularly felt my opinions wernt viable enough with some members and i started to get told by others i had been run down when they had spoken to other forum members in public its a real shame .

Just noticed Keef hasn't been seen on here for 4 days. Have you pulled his plug, PaulB? Surely calling me a Tory isn't enough to get barred?

Well. Howard, I do not know what to say...[Huh?!, oh yes I do]
Here am I risking my racial-reputation, (not to mention my down-with-the-kids street rep), as a proud member of the famous Furious Fifers Fusiliers to be-cloak myself in sweetness and light only to be (in terms) vilified as a stranger to the 'actualit-ay'. To the best of my recollection (IMO best here means big and shiny best) you have espoused said philosophical bon-mots on at least two occasions.
However...
As I do not possess the patience to wait until the morrow we shall have to be friends again from....now.

We should all be careful what we post as it might upset or offend someone. Having said that, I hope I haven't said anything out of order !!

Jan!! I can hardly believe you were offensive enough to be suspended!!!!!! I must try harder!
Only kidding - it's a good reminder of the courtesy thing which we do all indeed forget sometimes. Point taken!

I think that sometimes some people are so obsessed with their own opinions that no other will matter, with or without any reasoning. I was once told on here that "Why don't you get off your backside and do something about it instead of sitting there moaning about it!!!!!!!" Which to be fair did niggle me a tad, that's for sure . I did think just for a moment about filing a complaint but I just thought that sums up what sort of person they are. The sort of person that will only read half way through the post and not see the whole picture of what someone is ACTUALLY trying to say.
At the end of the day would these people or person have the front to give an individual that sort of abuse face to face on the street and expect to get away with it( I think not!) .
Internet websites and forums are easy places to act somewhat differently than what you would do normally (if you are that way inclined!). I must admit that really does baffle me people who can't and wont' show respect for someones opinion politely . Regardless of their status or position in life. Rich or poor whether you graft for a living, sweep roads or whether you have had your life sown with treads of silver from the day you were born. All it comes down to is respect and politeness and to never look down on someone.
Sorry if I have offended anyone.
Fair play to this post I think that occasionally one or two people just need a bit of a reminder.

that is why paul has brought in the new rules mark, you are right to be offended by that sort of post.
at the risk of being boring we are a club and should have strong debate instead of slagging off type posts.
if we think of the forum being a lodge, pub, working mans club or even posh barry's gentlemans club then it works well.

I totally agree, there are many topics I haven't wanted to engage in for this very reason. Thank you PaulB and Howard.

Couldn't agree more. Although I haven't been on here for that greater time I do enjoy this site. There is a great deal of hard work and dedication that goes into it. So why do some people feel the need to spoil it !!??!!

peter;
i believe paulb is trying to be fair to keep the forum going, but at the same time allowing the differing opinions.
theres a very thin line between disagreeing and falling out.
i try to step back if we get to the latter.
peter paulb wouldn't ban me for calling you a tory, he would know its everyones right to have a choice lol
