Thanks Ray as I said I do not know that area so did not realise the access was steep.

I don't know it either, just assuming unless it's central Dover it has got to be steep!

Now that looks like a good position for the proposed cable car.

what about leveling the area? this is not mentioned anywhere? It had been done in the past. I know obviously it needs to be assessed by the right people.
My opinion:" nothing is Impossible"

Mrs List Take it from me, all this and alot more has been said before to the D.D.C.you will not come up with anything that has not been said before by your local cllrs over the years. But I have no wish to put you off trying so put any plans you come up with to one of your local cllrs by that I mean your ward cllrs not any from other parishs etc and I am one of them. But I was one of your ward cllrs at the time your old play ground was closed and when funding was put to oneside for the newone. We had meeting after meeting about it and got nowhere and your local cllrs are still trying to get one.

So lets get back onto this one,,,,,,
over the years cllrs have called out for a play area in priory
we should also note, that it this administrations councils view to have 10 or so super sites(like elms vale/northbourne etc)at the cost of those living in priory.
Now, lets move onto clarendon place, for years and years the play areas were safe for you and me to play on, all of a sudden they are deemed unsafe!!! and we get into the elf and safety lol
Now, its a great idea to put the football pitch back, it was well used, shame on that one.
To move onto the dosh, well as posed by others there was £250,000 so was that all spent in priory? if so what on?
We can continue on here to hide behind the negative, there are no sites, when in reality sites keep being suggested.
ONCE AGAIN PRIORY IS THE LOSER!!!!

Where are these sites that keep being suggested Keith - I've looked (and so have many others) and there aren't any obvious ones.

Roger.. I will check with some people around this area and come back to this topic. I know some will shake heads and given up hope. But you always can try ... If you dont try you wont know.

That's O.K. Heike.
If there was a tiny chance that Clarendon could be brought back into use as a play area, I would go all out, but it's not just the practicalities of the site, it's also about funding. I know what's been said earlier, but that is in the past. New developments are coming on in the area and new section 106 money will be made available, so let's just find a suitable site, then maybe we can go forward.

By today's standards they are LAPs, LEAPs or NEAPs, totally different designs and space are needed for each, and which type is required depends on the local population.
