Hi Neil,
Surely, as you have been predicting the end of DHB and port handed to the peoples port
this latest move by the govt, surely is looking to DHB having a long term future, and running the port

We have had the same conversation all the way through this process, which is still ongoing, there are elements that would like to continue everything just as it has always been or see a private equity sale and there are other elements that want to see the delivery of a new paradigm of ownership and governance. Whilst the process of determining the permanent future of the port goes on, it still has to operate normally and have a committed and expert board of directors in place to provide the port with strategic direction and a revised focus.

Good Thread and a outright win for the port staying as a royal port. I hoping to see them soon about puting a outside gym down on the front as some of you know I am still trying to get them in some parishs, when in Spain a few weeks ago they are all along the front and very well used even when it was raining.

in case anyone was wondering why my name doesn't appear among the new board members, i politely declined their offer and stepped back so that a younger person could join.

Keith, there is not such a thing as the "people's port" in Dover.
There are two ports, the Eastern and the Western, and both are part of DHB.
Do get a grip, lad
