Hi Howard
Whilst I applaud all those that have secured £8,000 a number of questions remain.
1Is the money anywhere near the £45,00o or whatever the figure is to secure a play area?
2; Where will the rest of the dosh come from?
3;The site Is not supported by the vast majority of residents within the ward, thus why the local
community association met the cllrs in an attempt to stop divisions, obviously some went there
own way ,only time will tell how this pans out.
4; Who will maintain the play area?
5; will other sites suggested be considered
6; Do the cllrs want to work with all the community to secure the play area?
7; Speaking with Cllr Cowan (and looking at the article)its a little less clear if he has agreed to give
£10,000
All in all of course it's great to get a small amount towards a play area.
but theres a long way to go, and achieving you need to bring the community with you, I'm still not sure this is happening.
We will have to see how this developes
but up to now its a very small move forward(of course w should always be grateful) but theres still a long road ahead.
