do we have to.Still we dont need to read it.Why do you think your life story is so much more interesting than say mine or Keiths.I think mine is across between failed love ,tragedy ,many funny events along the way.politics ,much travelled etc etc.
I like to think fondly of mine as across between Brecht and a Brian Rix farce.................

Sue
I think everyone can come on here(no please dont!!) giving a life story, VICS will be no different to others
many will have seen the highs and lows,
many will have suffered and seen good times.
Many will not go public on such Issues
Vic chooses to
As I say I dont read it, but its all a matter of choice

Agree with Sue and in part with you Keith.
For starters I wonder how many of the hits made on that page were made by VM himself? I don't know of anyone who actually reads it, but know quite a few who don't!
Also it takes up a lot of space on the site and what for? As both of you have said there are far more interesting people in Dover, but of course they're not egotistical enough to think that everyone would want to read their lifestories. I think even Bern's life sounds more interesting, but she doesn't post hers.
What with that and all the stupid nonsense about the spelling of Dover ............. well if this were my site I would bar him from posting until he mends his ways.
Maybe Barry is right, we should all just ignore him
And before you say he has a right to post what he wants - don't the rules state that postings musn't offend anyone?
So in answer to your question VM - to quote "Britains got talent" it's a No from me!!
There's always a little truth behind every "Just kidding", a little emotion behind every "I don't care" and a little pain behind every "I'm ok".

I remain yours faithfully Vic [m]

Jacqui
I'm afraid we will have to differ
We should not BAR people just because they have a different view.
Its not offensive posting, its purely VIC being VIC I'm in dangr of giving VIC support.
But I do defend anyones right to post as long as there not offensive.
As I sayt I dont read it but its purely choice, no one has to read it.

Maybe it's best if I just keep away then. That way I won't be offended.

i heard through the grapevine that vic's book has been reviewed on the "richard and judy" show.
apparently these literary luminaries have recommended it as a good bed time read.
they agreed that it would send everybody to sleep peacefully.
Jacqui...."even Bern...."!!!!!!! Fortunately you'll have to work harder to annoy me!!!!! I think we all have a story to tell, and I guess we can all choose whether or not to share or to read them. I am currently reading Roy Castles biography - recommended!

Oh Bern, I'm so sorry! That wasn't what I meant at all. What I meant was that your life story as you described it (I like to think fondly of mine as across between Brecht and a Brian Rix farce................. ) sounded interesting! I meant it as a compliment not an insult. I don't want to annoy anyone, I was just giving my view on VM.
Well I've upset Keith and now you so I'll just apologise - again - and keep away from the forum I think. That way I won't upset anyone

Vic you asked me before should you continue with it and I said it was time to give it up. I still feel that way and dont think its worth pursuing any further. All threads have a limited lifespan and you had a good run with that idea.It was in danger of becoming a bit of a joke so I thought the best advice I could give you was to stop. I still feel that way.
You asked me a number of times to delete it...do you remember that?? it wouldnt be there now if I had. In fact I meant to carry out your request but it was just one of those jobs I never got round to.
Jacqui you are doing great there. I know what you meant there re Bern and so did everyone..its not a problem at all at all

NO NO NO NO NO a thousand times NOOO!
For goodness sake Mr Matcham - how many times do you need telling?
The above post by PaulB is 5 years old and yet you still go on about it. If you want to start another ego trip then start your own flippin forum!!
What makes you think you are more important than anyone else on the forum? Don't see anyone else trying to write their life story on here though. Just go play in your bunker
