The older lads were talking to each other about what they should do to him.
"We have made our decision he went on to say.
And because he let us all down we are all to take part in what is to happen to him if you do not take part then the same will happen to you.
W hat happen next I find very hard to put into words but it did happen so I must do it.
He had to take off what he had on and with nothing on he was taken down to the washhouse and after they had put a bucket of cold water over his head he was march back into the hut and we all had to go to the wash house with our towels put them in water and then made to roll the the wet towels so they were hard ,then we was told to stand down both sides of the room and the lad was made to run round the room 3 times and rest of the lads had to hit him hard on the back with the wet towels.We had to do it or get the same ourself.
The floor was a polish one and at one end we had the stove on and the chimney that went up and out of the hut was hot.
And he was going round and he had to run around the stove ,but because the floor had been polish he slip and put out his hands but they went onto the very hot chimmey and it ended up with him going to the sick bay overnight with burns to his hands.
