    It's not just a discussion about tittle tattle about footballers and minor celebs, which some people are interested in anyway and comes with the job for those whose career depends on publicity and popular support.

    The injunction about Fred Goodwin was trying to hide behaviour that might have affected the way he ran the bank, and there's another one in force relating to someone with control of an even larger organisation.

    The main point is the eroding of the principle of freedom of speech to report and comment on facts which are true - there are other laws to deal with those which are untrue.
