Sorry if there is already a topic on this one. Lots of activity going on at Connaught Barracks. Many trailers.
Around the accommodation block today lots of lighting rigged up, screens and an ambulance. Anyone know what going on there?

Just found this online: perhaps it's 'the Tunnel'.
Extra People is looking for 'trendy 30+ year-olds' for a nightclub scene being shot in the seaside town on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 February.
More extras are wanted for another BBC drama titled 'The Tunnel' which is being filmed in Folkestone, Dover and Sandwich from February onwards.
All ages and ethnicities are being recruited for 'The Tunnel' shoot and payment ranges from £75 to £150 per day.
For more information, go to
www.extra-people.com and register, marking your locality as Kent.

Well the signage shows "TT Base" so "The Tunnel" would make sense

Yes just come off the phone to them,I did not get the part as it was for a lady,I did tell them I have played the part of a lady before ,as you already know there was a photo put on this forum when I done it on the boxing day dip,but they still said no. So it does look like I will not be a film star after all,and will not get a Brit award no w.

I'm sorry to hear that Vic, at least you won't have to shave your legs just yet it's very cold outside!
It would seem, according to t'internet, the Tunnel is going to a remake of 'The Bridge' which the foreign series I am told has gone down a storm (with the UK too). It will be set in Folkestone. From what I've heard about the Bridge a body is found on the halfway point of a bridge between two countries so they both have to team together to solve the mystery. I guess it will be UK vs. France then in the middle of the channel tunnel?!
I would take some photos of all the activity by don't want to get told off by the guard!

What would work best Helen is that you could approach the guard and ask which pictures you could take, making sure that you give nothing away by snapping.

Tom, it's not so much what's happening there it's just the Barracks is a 'no go' for taking photos as a friend of mine once found out taking one through the fence! I'm sure if you we're on a tour of the area is may be ok?

Best to be careful then Helen...don't want you to shoot first and ask later...in case they follow your lead.

Nothing to stop you taking photos of Homes and Communities Agency land from a private road, nothing to do with the MOD these days !

I think this explains what I saw being filmed by the Hythe imperial last week. There was a big low trailer with cameras mounted on it being towed along the seafront and filming people as it drove.
